Welcome

From the Head of Junior School

From the Head of Junior School

As we come to the conclusion of the first term of 2026, it is hard not to reflect on the many firsts our Kindergarten students have experienced. For our youngest learners, this term has been filled with moments that will form the foundation of their school journey—moments of courage, growth, and discovery.

This term, our Kindy students have swum in their very first swimming carnival, run their first Cross Country, attended their first Chapel, and proudly participated in an Easter Hat Parade. Alongside these milestone events, they have also taken important steps in their learning—learning to count, to recognise letter sounds, and to write their names. Just as importantly, they have been learning how to sit and listen attentively, how to take turns, how to be respectful of those around them, and how to show kindness to people they may not yet know.

When I recently asked our Kindy students what they felt they had grown in this term, their responses were both simple and profound. They spoke about listening to their teacher, not hurting others, making new friends, sharing toys with siblings, writing their name with a capital letter, and even reading books so their brother wouldn’t bother them. These reflections remind us that growth is not always about big achievements—it is often found in the small, everyday moments where children learn how to live, learn, and love well.

Each year, our students are given a wonderful gift: the opportunity for a “do over.” From Kindergarten through to Year 12, they have repeated chances to try again, to improve, to take risks, and to grow. Over time, these experiences help shape resilient, confident learners who understand that effort matters and that growth takes time. By the time they reach Year 12, students will have had many opportunities to learn from the past and build on what came before.

As adults, we don’t always feel we are given the same opportunities for a “do over”—yet often, they are there if we are willing to notice them. Perhaps it is the chance to reconnect with a family member or old friend, to slow down and read a favourite picture book again with your child, or to approach a situation with renewed patience and grace. In God’s kindness, each new day offers us the opportunity to begin again.

As we move into the Easter break, we are reminded of the ultimate story of renewal and hope. My prayer is that this season provides time to rest, reflect, and make the most of the opportunities for “do overs”—both big and small—as we continue to grow together as a community.

Week of Worship - Castle Hill

What a special week we have just shared together in our Castle Hill Campus Week of Worship, Race to the Cross . It has been a joy to see our students not only engage with the Easter story but truly reflect on what it means for their lives.

Throughout the week, our children journeyed through the story of Jesus—His love, His sacrifice, and the hope we have because of the cross. They listened thoughtfully, participated wholeheartedly, and asked some deeply meaningful questions. It has been encouraging to witness their growing understanding of faith in such a real and personal way.

One of the most powerful moments of the week was our whole-school canvas activity. Every student wrote their name on the canvas, representing themselves, their life, and their story. Then, together, they painted over those names in red. This was a visual and memorable reminder that through Jesus’ sacrifice, we are covered by His grace. Our sin, our brokenness, and our shortcomings are not the final word; Jesus is. It was a simple yet profound way for students to grasp the truth of the gospel.

As we approach Easter, we are reminded of the incredible message found in John 3:16:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

This is the heart of what we have been sharing with our children. God’s love is not distant or abstract; it is personal, sacrificial, and life-giving.

My encouragement to you as families is to continue the conversation at home. Ask your children what stood out to them this week. Talk about what the cross means, and the hope we have because Jesus did not stay in the grave, but rose again.

If you and your family are looking for a place to worship this Easter, we would love to warmly invite you to join one of our campus churches. Our Castle Hill service will be held at 11:00am this Saturday, and our Kellyville campus will gather at 10:00am, with an additional Good Friday service at 6:30pm. You are most welcome—there’s a place for you.

Wishing you and your family a joyful and restful Easter break. May it be a time filled with reflection, gratitude, and the peace that comes from knowing we are deeply loved.

The event was a great success, highlighting not only athletic achievement but also teamwork and community spirit.

Well done to all students for their participation and enthusiasm, it was a great day for everyone involved!

Easter Hat Parade

Easter Hat Parade

This week, our Castle Hill Campus and Junior School at our Kellyville Campus took part in an Easter Hat Parade, celebrating Easter and faith. Students spent time creating colourful hats decorated with bunnies, chicks, eggs, crosses, and crowns, showing both creativity and the meaning of Easter.

The parade had three special categories: New Life in Jesus, Jesus is Our King, and God Keeps His Promises. Students proudly wore their hats and shared the joy with classmates, teachers, and families.

The event reminded everyone that Easter is about celebrating new life in Jesus, honouring Him as our King, and trusting that God keeps His promises.

April Fools’ Fun – 3A

April Fools’ Fun – 3A

Year 3A had a fantastic time celebrating April Fools’ Day! Everyone wore odd socks and enjoyed lots of crazy fun. Our classroom was even barricaded off, and we had to “break in” to get inside – what an adventure!

We got so carried away that we nearly received a notice from Mrs Camilo for our odd sock antics! It was a day full of laughter, surprises, and memorable moments for everyone in Year 3A.

Year 11 Chemistry

Year 11 Chemistry

For Part A of the Year 11 chemistry task, students created models to show different types of chemical bonds. Using colored clay, toothpicks, straws, and model kits, each atom was represented by a different color.

Students built the models by connecting atoms according to their bonds and arranging them to reflect realistic shapes and angles. Ionic compounds highlighted lattice structures, covalent molecules showed shared electrons, and metallic models represented delocalized electrons.

After labeling the atoms and bonds, students compared their models to diagrams, gaining a clear visual understanding of molecular structures through this hands-on activity.

Year 11 & 12 ArtExpress

Year 11 & 12 ArtExpress

Our Year 11 and 12 Visual Arts students enjoyed an inspiring excursion to the Art Gallery of New South Wales to view Artexpress, the annual exhibition showcasing outstanding HSC Visual Arts works from across NSW. The exhibition offered valuable insight into course expectations and inspiration for students’ own artistic practice.

Students also attended a lecture by Artexpress exhibitors, who shared insights into their creative processes, conceptual development, materials, and the challenges of producing their major works, providing a motivating glimpse into the journey from idea to exhibition.

The remainder of the day was spent exploring the gallery, with highlights including Mike Hewson’s ‘ The Key’s Under the Mat’ in The Tank—an immersive, interactive playground style installation. Students also took part in handson artmaking by creating paper fruit for the interactive exhibit ‘ Sou Sou’ by Mechelle Bounpraseuth.

Overall, the excursion was an enriching experience that combined learning, creativity, and inspiration, deepening students’ understanding of contemporary art and Visual Arts practice.

E-Bike Safety

E-Bike Safety

NSW Police have raised concerns about unsafe e-bike use and young drivers.

Recent incidents highlight the risks of illegally modified e-bikes, which are often ridden by students but are classed as motor vehicles if they exceed legal limits. This means they must be registered and ridden by licensed riders. There are also serious safety and fire risks.

A recent crash involving a 17-year-old driving a prohibited high-powered vehicle also highlights the need for parental awareness of licence restrictions.

We encourage parents to ensure their child’s e-bike or vehicle is legal and safe, and to check P-plate restrictions here:

Thank you for your support.
